The goal of the Klassieke Academie is transfer of knowledge and skills from older to younger generations. This includes the search for young visual talents.

The Masterclass 'young talent' is ment for highschool students, school leavers and college students in the age category from 15 up to 26 years and take place at Saturday afternoons from 15.30 - 18.00 hrs in the painting class of the Klassieke Academie, Akerkhof NZ 43-c , for sculpting the adress is: Timpweg 3 in Groningen.

Annually we offer 4 Masterclasses in a row. The first three are given on 7 Saturdays each, and treat the aspects of painting, 21 lessons altogether. The last Masterclass takes place on 9 days and treats sculpting.

Each Masterclass deals with 1 basic principle of the visual arts:

• composition
• form
• tone and colour
• three-dimensionality

Based on these principles we get a good picture of the talents of the participants and the weak points that need developing.

The classes start in September and proceed untill June the following year.

We take into account the regular school holidays in the North of Holland.

Tuition fee for all Masterclasses is € 396,-, to be paid to account number  967 22 71  in the name of Klassieke Academie, Groningen.

There are no special entry requirements.
Registration takes place after receipt of the tuition fee.

1 group consists of 16 participants at the most.
